‘The drawing made on a wall in one of the rooms of the Fort Benoorden Spaarndam,
probably made by a German soldier or prisoner in that fort during WWII.
Fort Benoorden Spaarndam is part of the Defenceline of Amsterdam.
I was there in September 2006 during a guided tour. A couple of weeks
before that tour they started with restoration works in that fort and
our group was one of the first outsiders that saw that drawing. We came
in that completely dark room and when the candlelight touched that
wall I promptly called: "Marlene Dietrich" !
The wall with the drawing was painted white after the war, but after
cleaning they discovered it’. -Jan Brilleman.

'This is a recreation of Marlene Dietrich's 1933 Cream Suit. The beret and tie are as close as I could source to the original photo, and the suit is made from a natural cream wool, interlined with horsehair twill canvas, cotton wadding and custom shoulderpads. The pleated trousers are made from the same, with 2 side pockets, 2 hip pockets on the jacket and a left breast pocket'. -A.Hall.
